I would like to welcome you to my website. I am Sean M. Plowden-Wardlaw, born on February 21, 1956, in Cambridge. The son of John Campbell Plowden-Wardlaw and Helga Ruth Plowden-Wardlaw (née Herrmann). Grandchild to Wilfrid James Plowden-Wardlaw.
Genealogy is a fascinating subject, especially as one gets older and begins to think about his or her family. Everyone knows that life goes on and that just as we were born, we are sure to die, but have you ever wondered where you really came from, your line of Ancestors for example?
With help from my late grandfather, Wilfrid, we have traced the family line of descendants all the way back to Emperor Charlemagne (and beyond). It is in his memory that I have put this research into this website and have, to the best of my knowledge, updated it to the present. I hope that everyone, not only members of the Plowden-Wardlaw family, will find this website interesting and informative. I hope that many will contact me, I would love to expand this website daily, and I would love to hear from Plowden-Wardlaw´s or distant relatives from around the world, with photos, ideas, and their genealogy.
Person: After studying at the Oratory School, I joined firstly Barclays International, working at Nr 1. Pall Mall in London. In 1975 I joined the Royal Signals and did tours in Oman, Persian Gulf, Cyprus and Germany. On leaving the army in 1981, I joined an Industrial Engineering firm in Germany as head C.O of CNC Programming and Planning, producing precision CNC turned and milled parts with complex geometries used in dental technology, aerospace, automotive industry and mechanical engineering. Finally I retired in 2019 and am living happily in East Friesland (Ostfriesland), Germany with my wife and our Australian Shepherd. For a few words in my guestbook I would be most grateful. Thankyou.
Sean M. Plowden-Wardlaw.
